YONG BELAR (G3) MOUNTAIN EXPEDITION

Hike Series for Team Nepal 2017

Nevertheless you are welcome to join if you are considering above trip and/or person who like to challenge your own limit.

G3 Mount Yong Belar, the 3rd highest mountain with height of 2181m above sea level. Located on the border of the states of Kelantan and Perak in Titiwangsa Mountains of peninsular Malaysia.  Total hiking distance is about 20km with multiple ups and downs.

This will be an advanced training session for Intermediate Hikers Only, which aiming to train your endurance not only with the long hours of walking, climbs and crawls as needed, but also with 9 to 10 kg load (carrying your own belonging + shared load food for 2 meals)

It will be a 2D1N hike.  Summit attack will be done on Day 2, with estimated total hike hours for the day itself about 10-11 hours approximately.
 
ITINERARY

13 Jan 2017 (Friday) - Day 1
2100 hrs – Meet Woodlands MRT station
 
14 Jan 2017 (Saturday) - Day 2
0530 hrs - Tanah Rata Meet Guide at Chinese temple
0530-0600 hrs – Breakfast and pack lunch
0615 hrs – 4 wheel drive to trail head
0800 hrs – Reach trail head and start hike
0900 hrs – Cabin – First check-point
1200 hrs - Lunch (bring your own) on the go
1300 hrs - Camp Kasut – Third check-point, Camp site
1600 hrs – Summit
1900 hrs – Back to Camp Kasut
2000 hrs –Dinner (included)
 
15 Jan 2015 (Sunday) - Day 3
0600 hrs – Breakfast (included)
0700 hrs – Start to descent
1200 hrs – Trail head
1215 hrs – 4 wheel drive to town
1230-1430 hrs – Lunch (included)
1300 hrs – Back to Singapore (dinner on the go)
2100 hrs – Customs clearance at Malaysia and Singapore
