Situated inside of Ulu Bendul Recreational Park, Gunung Angsi stands at a height of 824m (2702ft) and is about 20km from Seremban, which is the state capital of Negeri Sembilan. Its proximity to KL (about a 1 hour drive) also makes it a favourite weekend spot for nature lovers and hikers. There are 2 known routes to the summit of Gunung Angsi – via Bukit Putus (the one we took that morning) or through a more challenging water trail via Ulu Bendul. One of the 10 Mountains to climb in Malaysia with the most incredible views (http://magazine.tripzilla.com/mountain-climbing-malaysia-adventure/21298), Gunung Angsi is suitable for almost all people. Located in Negeri Sembilan, this mountain is not tall and the roundtrip to the summit doesn’t take longer than a few hours.
