This 15 km gorge is located along the Yangtze River between Snow Mountain Dragon Jade of about 6000 meters and Haba Xueshan Mountain of 5.300 meters, in China, where passes rapidly under a series of spectacular cliffs 2000m.
The gorge owes its name to a legend that says that a tiger once jumped the narrowest point of the gorge to escape a hunter (it is still 25 meters). Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest canyons in the world, is a beautiful and scenic hike for adventurous hikers. To see the Yangtze River squeeze through two mountain ranges is a sight you will never forget; not just does it take your breath away, it leaves a part of its beauty in your mind and life.
The road is well kept and takes hikers on a 14-mile journey with different mountain views featuring an astonishing variety of micro-ecosystems, waterfalls and even guest houses where hikers can stay along the road. Apart from the life-transforming awe of just being outside there and seeing all those intricate details woven together by nature.

YUBENG
Yubeng Village (雨崩村) is located in Deqin County, Yunnan Province. There are only about 30 families residing in Yubeng village. For hundreds of years, it was never discovered, simply because of its seclusion. Situated at the foot of the Meili snow mountain range, Yubeng village is not very accessible to the outside world. It takes one whole day to trek to the village from the closest paved road. Trekking around this untouched village is pure joy and one feels totally in harmony with nature. A truly amazing Xanadu!

SHANGRI-LA 香格里拉
The word “Shangri-La” first appeared in a 1933 novel, “The Lost Horizon” by British writer James Hilton. The story was about Robert Conway, a British diplomat onboard a hijacked airplane. They landed on a remote Tibetan area, Shangri-La, where there is no war or crime and the residents enjoy longevity. Majority of the survivors were swayed away by the beauty and peacefulness of Shangri-La that they chose to reside at Shangri-La permanently.
Despite the beauty of Shangri-La, Robert, together with his brother, George and Maria (one of the Shangri-La’s resident) decided to set off and return to England. After the trio left Shangri-La, Maria start to age rapidly and eventually, pass away. George committed suicide soon after, due to the death of Maria.
