August. It is the time when summer begins to slow. Restfulness, peacefulness, and gratefulness become top priorities. It is also the season when planning for the end of the year begins.
It’s never too early to begin planning or reflecting. In the Philippines, the first carol is sung in Autumn. There is excitement for the yuletide season.
At Adventures Village, we are taking this time to reflect on a fantastic year so far. We began 2017 with two New Years’ climbs, then revisited our friends in the Philippines during March, and then spent an extraordinary month in Nepal, accomplishing unprecedented success on Annapurna and Everest Base Camp.
This culminated at the top of Island Peak. Then, in June, we were charmed by the magical Ladakh.
As we look forward to what lies in what in the months to come, we have trips to Japan, Israel, Sandakphu, and Myanmar planned.
Let us celebrate this year of goodness together. A get-together where old trip alumnus gathers and reminisce about past experiences. Fond memories can be re-enacted, songs can be sung of our trips, and friends we may not have seen in forever can meet once again.
We cannot think of a better place to have this gathering than at the Villager’s favorite spot at Bagan Datoh (Kuala Selangor). Come. Join us, celebrate with us, and make new friends at our year-end “THE VILLAGE GATHERS: BLUE TEARS, SKY MIRROR 2017.”
