July, August and September

Kashmir's otherworldly scenery is undeniably stunning, and it's no wonder that the region captivates poets, nature lovers, and tourists. The Tarsar Marsar Lakes trek is a hidden gem of a spectacular journey through the magnificent nature of Kashmir. This trek offers a unique opportunity to explore some of the most remote parts of India. You will be in awe of the spectacular beauty and grandeur of the mountains. The Tarsar Marsar Lakes Trek is perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The trek also offers an opportunity to experience the culture and lifestyle of the local people living in the remote Himalayan villages.
Hiking in India is where I find my zen. It is a chance to explore, appreciate and understand the country’s culture, land, people and traditions.
 The Tarsar Marsar Lakes Trek
The journey to the Tarsar Marsar Lakes is a thrilling adventure, with a unique view of the lakes from each lake. The trek starts in Aru, a quaint village nestled in the valley of Kashmir.  The trek takes you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the region, including snow-capped mountains, silky green meadows, fast-flowing rivers, alpine forests, and stunning alpine lakes. As you reach the base of the mountains, the landscape changes to a more rugged terrain, with jagged rocks and boulders dotting the landscape. As you make your way up towards the higher altitudes, you will be greeted with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. These mountains are steep and stark, and you can spot the snow-covered peaks of the distant mountains in the distance.

One of the highlights of the trek is the Tarsar Lake, a stunning alpine lake that is surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The lake is known for its crystal-clear waters and the reflections of the surrounding mountains on its surface. The trek also passes through the Marsar Lake, which is known for its serene and peaceful surroundings.
