Southern Patagonia – Chile & Argentina
At the southern tip of the Americas lies magical, mystical Southern Patagonia. She borders both Chile and Argentina, both patronizing this glorious, vast, remote natural wonder, covering over 400,000 square miles – roughly one and a half times the size of the UK.
We take you on a journey crossing valleys, pristine crystal clear lakes, and ascend to vantage points to view the breath-taking snow-capped mountains of Torres del Paine in Chile; the tranquil Laguna de los Tres overlooking sublime Mount Fitzroy massif to the majestic Perito Moreno Glaciers, which is still advancing, whereas others are retreating, located in Argentina.
We hike the famous “W” trek in Torres del Paine, where we reacquaint with the wilderness and submerge ourselves in the peaceful surroundings and the possibility to site and be in close proximity to wildlife, such as guanacos and condors.
There will be challenges as we set foot on this rugged yet diverse landscape, as one can experience 4 seasons in one day, but nothing can be compared as we hatch our greatest adventure.
The trip will appease those seeking adventure and as well as leisure. Ever wondered what it is like to be standing at the “End of the World”? Nestled between daunting snow-capped Andean mountains of Argentina and the shores of the Beagle Channel lies Ushuaia – the southernmost city in the world. Further north, we visit the designated UNESCO World Heritage sites of Iguazu National Park, bordering both Argentina and Brazil, since 1984 and 1987 respectively. This semi-circular waterfall at the heart of this site is some 80m high and 2,700m in diameter and is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. You will have the opportunity to visualise the surrounding subtropical rainforest, boasting over 2,000 species of vascular plants and is home to the wildlife of the region: tapirs, giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars and caymans.
You will have numerous opportunities to take your picture perfect postcards as each destination has been carefully selected and curated to ensure you get the best of Southern Patagonia with added sites of Argentina.
