Travel Dates: 25-29 JULY | 01-05 AUGUST

Mount Fuji, a sight to behold. A mountain so grand, so bold. A symbol of Japan, so proud and true.
A climb to the summit, a feat to achieve. Hiking in Japan is an experience like no other, with a range of trails and mountains to explore. Mount Fuji, in particular, is one of the most popular destinations for hikers and climbers.

Climbing Mount Fuji is a challenging and rewarding experience. The climbing season is short, and runs from early July to mid-September, when the weather conditions are more stable. During this time, thousands of people climb the mountain every day via its four main trails. We aim to avoid the crowd and enjoy a peaceful climb during weekdays, and via the less trodden paths. We also include a buffer day in case of bad weather.

In July, we will follow the path of Fujiko pilgrims via the Yoshidaguchi Climbing Trail, and traces the history of the Mount Fuji faith.
In August, we will ascend via the least travelled route via the
Gotemba trail.
  1. Climbing Mount Fuji is not just about reaching the summit. It is about the journey and the experience along the way
The Yoshida Pilgrimage Climb via Yoshida Trail

Instead of the commercialised start of trail that most people take after coming frmo a bus, this extended route starts from Umagaeshi to the 5th Station, where you can stop at the shrine used by Fujiko pilgrims. This route traces the history of Mt. Fuji faith by following the path of Fujiko pilgrims on Yoshidaguchi Climbing Trail, the historical climbing route which is also listed on the selection of 100 historical routes in Japan. The spirit of the unique Mt. Fuji-climbing worship remains alive today and you can still see religious artifacts such as small shrines, stone Buddhist images, stone monuments with inscriptions along the old path. At the end of the hike, you will be issued a certificate for completing this cultural trek.

The Gotemba Trail

The Gotemba Trail is the least travelled among the four main trails to Mount Fuji.
