LANG TANG VALLEY
Welcome to the Langtang Valley Trek, one of the most beautiful and diverse trekking routes in Nepal! Nestled in the Langtang National Park, this trek offers a unique blend of natural beauty, culture, and adventure. The Langtang Valley Trek, sometimes called “the valley of the glaciers” is in close proximity to Kathmandu which makes it an easily accessible hiking destination. As the nickname implies, there are many glaciers at a low altitude which can easily be explored. It is named after an ancient legend in which a Tibetan Lama was searching for his yak (‘Lang’ in Tibetan language) and stumbled upon this amazing valley by following (‘Tang’ in Tibetan language) the yak.

Natural beauty & Adventure
The trail takes you through lush rhododendron, bamboo forests, and alpine meadows. As you trek deeper into the valley, the scenery will become increasingly spectacular as you will be surrounded by towering peaks on all sides. The highlight of the trek is the climb to Kyanjin Gompa, a traditional Tibetan village and the base camp for climbing Langtang Lirung (7234m), the highest peak in the valley. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire Langtang range and the distant peaks of the Himalayas.
Culture
This trek takes one close to Tibet, as the valley lies just south of that border. You will be able to learn much about the traditions and culture of the Tamang people at Langtang Village. It's the last permanent settlement before the highest point of Langtang trek, Kyanjin Ri (4,773m). The village is known for its traditional architecture and way of life influenced by Tibetan culture. It's also a good place for rest and acclimatization before continuing the trek. Overall, the Langtang Valley trek is a perfect blend of natural beauty, rich culture, and adventure. It is a journey that will not only challenge you physically but also spiritually and culturally. We invite you to come and experience Langtang as it is a once in a lifetime experience, and you will return home with memories that will last a lifetime.
