This is a long-term residence area of more than 12,000 households with over 64,500 people belonging Dao, Tày, Nùng, Mông, Cờ Lao, La Chí minority. While trekking in Hoang Su Phi, you have the opportunity to witness cultural life, farming practices and activities of the ethnic minorities in mountainous areas to the north. Admire the terraced rice fields that look like silk scarves flying over in the wind above mountain slopes. A wonders built up over hundreds of years.

Located on the height of 1400 – 1600 meters above sea level, the geographical characteristics of Dong Van Plateau are just as dramatic as it can get with sheer mountain cliffs running to the horizon. The 2,356sqkm of Dong Van Karst Plateau is one of Vietnam's special limestone features besides other excellent examples such as Halong Bay or Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, housing prominent imprints that depict the development of the earth's crust and natural phenomenon.

Quan Ba Twin Mountain is a lovely sight to behold from the road, over the well-shaped twin mountain lying in middle of a green valley. The two round-shaped green hills lying side by side will sure will catch your eyes because of its charming appearance. The best place to take pictures of the mountain is the mountain slope which is 1km away from Tam Son. Right near the Twin Mountains lies the Heaven Gate which is on a height of 1500m above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the valley below.

- The trek will bring you across the lush valley and Red Dao tribe houses

- Today we will explore and trek to the Black Tay Villages

- Drive up to the highland region of Karst Geo-park

- Trek up to trek to Don Cao (optional and can be done next morning as well)
- Overnight at Dong Van Ancient Town (local hotel)

- Get ready for a rollercoaster ride along the legendary Ma Pi Leng pass with multiple breathtaking viewpoints
