No PCR test before depart Singapore is depending on insurance co, may I ask whether SQ or Air port authority or ICA has any requirements for covid negative ?
AT THE AIRPORT AND ON THE PLANE
Chia took a pre-flight PCR test as his travel insurance policy required it.
We travelled to Germany and back without stay-home notice. Here's what you need to know.

Testing positive while in Germany
While you should be familiar with the procedure if you test positive in Singapore (sent to GQF or hospital, as needed), what happens if you test positive in Germany?
If your PCR test is positive, the laboratory will inform the Gesundheitsamt (local health department), which will then issue an isolation order.
If you are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms, your isolation will take place at home/in a hotel
If your symptoms are severe, seek immediate medical attention at a hospital
You may only leave self-isolation for the specific purpose of attending a PCR test.
Unlike Singapore, Germany does not have a system of managed quarantine in government facilities. The Germany embassy informs me that there is also no designated list of hotels where you can self-isolate; any one will do.

Simon - I have added Eugene, a insurance specialist into this chat. He will give the group professional advice in matter of purchase and claims. In a minute he will introduce himself as well as the service he can offer.
Eugene - im an insurance broker. As for covid coverage im more familiar with sompo since they are one of the first to come out with covid 19 specific coverage and ive advised on quite a few. Let me know if you have any qns and ill do my utmost best to provide the most objective ans. There will be no obligation to purchase anything through me thank you
I heard that you can get insurance while booking the Singapore airlines tickets as well and it’s cheaper
What's the difference of buying thru airline offered insurance? Does the coverage vary?
from what i know, the insurance from singapore airline is AIG travel guard
The coverage, benefits, limits would definitely vary as we have different providers. The main difference would be in the event of claims, if client had purchased directly through SQ, they would have to handle their own claims. But if they have purchased through an FA like me, the FA would be able to advise and co-ordinate the claims processes
More qns for the companies you represent
1) I read some with more coverage need to do Pcr before trip … and the caveat says 30 days before trip ? So means need to buy by 18 oct ?
2) what happens if u already paid And the prior to trip u get positive ?
3) what happens if at Germany tested covid after some symptoms and use art is positive n pcr positive ? What happens to the trip etc n what happens to the air ticket ?
4) What happens if booked already , however Govt policies changes due to surge in cases maybe in Germany and cannot travel there?
Will insurance cover that?
1) yes need to do pcr 72 hrs before the trip, there is a 14 days waiting period for the travel insurance to take effect. So ideally is to buy the plan as early as possible for all the claim to take effect. Not 30 days
After 14 days, if insured has done a Pre-trip PCR test, the benefits will begin immediately the moment client leaves SG. However if no Pre-trip PCR test was done, there will be another 14 day waiting period from the first day of trip. ie, insurer will not cover any covid-related claims for the first 14 day of the trip is PCR was not done
2) in the event you are diagnosed w Covid prior to flying, you may claim for either Trip Cancellation or trip postponement, provided they have fulfilled the 14 day waiting period
3) if insured is diagnosed w covid in Germany, they may claim for medical expenses incurred in Germany, hospitalisation / quarantine allowance (if insured is hospitalised / quarantined). In the event they have to cut short their trip as they are diagnosed w covid, they may claim for trip curtailment and extra expenses incurred to change / purchase a new ticket to come back to SG can be claimed. In the event they have to extend their trip as they are diagnosed w covid, they may claim for trip disruption, and extra accomodation / transport expenses may be claimed under the plan
4) As of now due to this pandemic, no insurers i know of cover for changes to travel rules. In the event that there is an update of travel advisory and Singaporeans are no longer allowed to fly to Germany coverage will be voided (from what i know govt and insurers should honour the coverage contracts agreement before the travel advisory is given. This means if you buy the coverage after advisory, you wont be insured, if you buy before you should still be insurer. This is last year experience before covid becomes a pandemic)

If pertains to travel changes by Govt , will the trip be postpone or refunded by company ?
Eg I book accommodations overseas , when cannot travel , they refund*
AU policy has been always the same and transparent with our pax. Whatever has not been paid out prior to departure, will be returned to pax in case of cancellation due to MFA policy or others
Those which has been paid out, you have to claim thru insurance. AU will provide supporting letters and receipts
Will Sq refund if the the VTL is suspended? Or postpone ?
Waiver of cancellation fees and full
Refund should VTL be suspended - For SQ flights

Can payment be made by credit card ? Including the air ticket by credit card or pay fave?
I'll answer the first part first
yes you can
Our timeline is to pay to confirm your slot with a deposit $500sgd
One month before trip to pay balance by euros
- we will convert the $500 deposit to the euro equivalent at the request date
i strongly encourage everyone apply for a Wise (formerly TransferWise account)
You can link it to your credit card
- pay for your trip
- use it for your expenses in Germany
Apply here: https://wise.com/invite/asd/peilingh
once you applied, make sure you request for a physical debit card too! so that you can use it for spending
Now i address Part 2
- Do not buy your tickets till we have confirmed this trip
- AU does not earn commission from air tickets because we want our pax to enjoy the rewards, flexibility (extension of trip) when they book from the airline
Buy your tickets from Singapore Air website directly!
Do not buy thru 3rd party agents like Expedia, Cheaptickets
The 3rd party website might show cheaper options, but really, it is not worth the hassle in the event when there is a cancellation
We have learnt this lessons the hard way when we tried to get our refunds from our cancelled EHP, Morrocco trips cancelled due to covid
Those who booked thru the airlines directly got their refunds rather promptly while 3rd parties got a lot of delays, refused to entertain your request and at the end, partial refund (after 6-8 months!)

Is there an est distance and submit of the mountain we going.thks
I have chose hikes that are of beginners - moderate grades. These are mostly walks thru the woods or places with sweeping panaromic mountain views. You can see the estimated distance and time in the description.
In some places you can even choose to stay and hang around instead of going for the hikes. Ga-pa is an area renowned for its ski resort.
The summit we are visiting is Zugspitze at 2,962m and we are going up in a ropeway. The cost 52euros is included in the land cist

Can I ask like the first day … the churches and the museums , it is like u already plot them on map or there will be a guide to bring us ?
After conducting so many walks in Europe, local guided and self guided ones. I come to the conclusion that our SG people prefer to have flexibility in the walks.
European guides follow the hours and they tend to want to finish everything within the stipulated time.
So it'll be me leading the route- food, photo stops with lots of fun! - Applies to all City Walks
