SAPA
Tucked high in Vietnam ‘s remote northern mountains, close to the Chinese border, the former French military outpost of Sapa offers some of Vietnam ‘s most colorful experiences with the majestic beauty of Fansipan.
The views are breathtaking. Vietnam ‘s highest peak, the 3,143-metre Mount Fansipan, looms overhead, while the surrounding valleys feature terraced rice paddies cut by fast-flowing streams. Layer upon layer of neat farming ridges fades into the distance, edged by sharp, rocky peaks. The region is home to several ethnic minority groups all wearing their traditional and colorful attire.

Cat Cat cultural village was formed in 19th century by the gathering of some families belonging to some ethnic groups living in mountainous areas of northern Vietnam, especially Black H’Mong .They lived next to each other along the mountain side and cultivated surrounding their home. Rice and corn were grown in terraced fields, while traditional handicrafts such as twisting flax and weaving fabric have been well-kept. Through times, Cat Cat Village has transferred to one appealing feature of Sapa.
To visit village, you walk through Sapa Market down the valley. Visitors to Cat Cat have an opportunity to admire a lively and colorful picture of the local crowd and lifestyle with looming mountains in the background.
