The most difficult treks which nature offers us are often the most rewarding. That is why Mount Everest is often on the bucket list of climbers, trekkers, mountaineers alike.

When you are able to conquer these challenges, it changes your life.

One of the best ways to see Mount Everest is to visit Everest Base Camp, or EBC. At EBC, you’ll be able to experience the wild wonders of the mountain, embrace her beauty, and enjoy spending time with people from all walks of life.

EBC is at 5,364m, which means the trek there is a feat on its own. It requires several days of acclimation to get used to the condition. Once there, the scenery is breathtaking. Gokyo Lakes in Nepal’s Sagarmatha National Park is a beautiful stop. There is also the vibrant city of Kathmandu, which is the destination and departure point for so many exploring this part of the world.

The Gokyo Lakes (Optional)

The beautiful Gokyo Valley is one of the destinations which encapsulates you with its stunning vistas. It boasts some of the most incredible views in the world as the sun rises and sets on Mount Everest and her sister mountains.

The Gokyo Lakes like at the base of the Dudh Kosi valley, which is an excellent alternative route to the usual EBC trek. If you have a little extra time on your hands, you will want to make the investment to get here.

The lakes are more of an amalgamation of unique glacial lakes high in the Himalayas. These natural lakes are the highest freshwater lakes in the world, protecting hidden gems that are surrounded by Mother Nature’s finest work.

A word on trekking in high altitude places

At Adventures Unlimited, we take our participant's health and safety concerns seriously.

Instances of acute mountain sickness (AMS) can affect your heart, lungs, muscles, and sensory system. If one's condition is extreme and he/she has little access to treatment, difficulties can prompt swelling in the cerebrum and lungs, bringing about unconsciousness or even death.

Learning to anticipate, minimise and treat AMS when dealt with symptoms is vital  in the mountains. At Adventure Unlimited, we bring our medical and monitoring equipments whenever we embark on a trip. We do not soley rely on our foreign partners and operators to supply them.
