Overview
Gunung Binaiya is a mountain located on Pulau Seram, Maluku, Indonesia. It is the highest mountain the province of Maluku at 3027masl which also qualify it as one of the one hundred most topographically prominent peaks on Earth. It is also one of the “Tujuh Puncak of Indonesia” or Seven highest summits in Indonesia.

Manusela National park where Binaiya is located, consist mainly of a dense forest with breathtaking karst landscape complete with a rich endemic biodiversity including cassowary, cuscus, sacred kingfisher and Seram Cockatoo… It is also a home of an ancient plants called Chintya Binaiya (Pakis Binaiya), a rare species specific to Nusa Ina region. Cross finger we will come across some of them during the trek 😊
The trailhead starts at only a few metres above sea level so the climb to the summit is quite an undertaking.

11.00AM Amahai - Piliana

Start trekking to shelter Aimoto, 6 hours trekking
Campsite Aimoto
Day 3-21/01
Shelter Aimoto – Camp Isiali, 8 hours trekking

Camp Isilali – Camp Nasapeha – Summit Binaiya, 3027m
back to camp site Nasapeha

Piliana, back to Masohi, forward to Ambon, overnight
