Roy's Peak

Hiking Roy's Peak is an experience that will leave you in awe. The trail begins at the base of the mountain, offering breathtaking views of Lake Wanaka as you ascend. As you make your way up, the scenery transforms into a picturesque landscape of lush green meadows and snow-capped peaks. The trail can be challenging, but the reward is worth every step. Upon reaching the summit, a panorama of unparalleled beauty unfolds before your eyes. The iconic peak provides a stunning vantage point, allowing you to soak in the grandeur of the Southern Alps, the sparkling waters of Lake Wanaka, and the surrounding valleys.

Arthur’s Pass (Avalanche Peak)

A visit to this national park delivers a landscape of two possibilities. When you look to the east, you’ll see vast forests filled with beech trees and rivers. Turn to the west, and you’ll find yourself in a dense rainforest with stunning gorges carved by rushing waters.

Starts with a beautiful but strenuous walk through the woods while finishing with climbing on and over rocks and provides spectacular views on the way up and down. Expect steep and rugged terrain. Even if you don’t make it to the summit you still can see the beautiful panorama and glacier.
