Mother Nature deserves to be experienced by everyone. With countless trails to trek, every day is a new opportunity to explore. Our grading system is designed to provide more information about each opportunity in terms of expected difficulties. This way, even if you’ve never experienced a trail before, you can have some idea of what to expect what you gear up to go. All opportunities receive a Grade of 1-5. Here is what you can expect to find on each grade.
Grade 1: Beginner trekking. Elevation gain is typically very minimal. Trails are well-groomed, typically short in distance, and in excellent condition. Easy to access. Suitable for all trekkers.
Grade 2: Moderate trekking. Trails are of an increased length and there may be moderate elevation gains required to navigate. Using hands may be required on certain parts of the trail. Requires a good hiking condition.
Grade 3: Advanced trekking. Trails are usually in good condition, but there could be areas in disrepair. There will be significant elevation gains and grading may be quite steep in some areas. Trails may require more than 1 day to complete. Scrambling may be required along parts of the trail. Requires an excellent hiking condition.
Grade 4: Difficult trekking. Trails may not be in good condition. Technical hiking skills may be required, requiring specific equipment to complete the trail. Elevation gains are consistent and significant. Trails may require multiple days to complete. Requires an excellent hiking and climbing condition.
Grade 5: Extreme trekking. Trails may not be in good condition. Technical hiking skills may be required, requiring specific equipment to complete the trail. Elevation gains are consistent and significant. Trails may require multiple days to complete. Requires an excellent hiking and climbing condition.
