Trek For Hope Family Day @ Mersing, June 2016

We are bringing back the Trek For Hope (Family Edition) this 25 - 27 November. This time, things are going to get more exciting than ever before!

Highlights:

1. Appreciate the beauty of the Sungai Lembing through art. Learn how to capture it with fun and easy creative sketching that requires simplest tools and zero prior experience. Apply it to your travels in this 3-hour workshop led by professional artist Chankerk.

2. Be entertained and thrilled by popular SG stand up magician Martin Goh. Learn simple party tricks and balloon twisting skills that will make your friends go "WOW"!

3. Outdoor movie screening under the stars. ALL NIGHT LONG...till the last person goes to bed.

4. Family bonding games led by your hosts: Alice and Simon. Co-host: Manfred and Celia.

5. Photography by Khong where you just concentrate on your hikes and having fun while he'll do the shooting. A photobook will be given to per family signup and individual participant after the trip.

A serene town tucked away about 40km northwest of Kuantan, Sungai Lembing offers a glimpse into Malaysia's bygone days during the British and Japanese eras. At its heyday, Sungai Lembing had the largest subterranean tin mine in South East Asia. Set against a backdrop of magnificent lush greenery, Sungai Lembing was also the filming location of Mediacorp's 2011 production Kampong Ties.

The Itinerary
Day 1 (25 Nov) Transfer to Sungai Lembing
20:30 ~ 20:45hrs – Meet at Woodlands MRT Station, in front of POSB. Start of Registration

21:00 - Coach depart Woodlands MRT

Day 2 (26 Nov) Rainbow Waterfall
0500hrs - Arrive at Sungai Lembing
0530hrs - Breakfast at Sungai Lembing Town (on your own expense)
0615hrs - Transfer to Rainbow Waterfall & catch rainbows forming at the waterfall if weather permits.
1300hrs - Late Lunch (on your own expense)
1430hrs – Check In
1500hrs - Commencement of Art workshop
1830hrs – Back to Lodge for BBQ Dinner (provided)
1900hrs - Entertainment by standup magician Martin Goh
2100hrs - Outdoor movie screening

Day 3 (27 Nov) Trek up Panorama Hill for sunrise (via stairs)
0600hrs - Trek up Panorama Hill for Sunrise.
0800hrs - Breakfast at Sungai Lembing Town (on your own expense)
0930hrs – Check Out
1800hrs – Dinner at JB (provided)
2100hrs – Reach Singapore (subject to traffic/customs clearance)

Individual signups - inclusive of one spiral sketch book , ink pen and pencil.

Family - one parent and one kid below age 12, parent are expected to give support to kid during the learning process, one spiral sketch book , ink pen and pencil for each. Additional materials available at $10 per pack (advance order required)

Martin Goh
He has been practicing magic for more than 5 years. He specializes in close-up magic as he likes to interact with audience. He derives great joy in learning, practicing and performing magic. He has came up with many unique rountines that can even fool magicians. He believe that magic can bring happiness and miracles in people's lives.

Just imagine a card that you have signed before, suddenly and inexplicably ends up in his mouth! Imagine a normal rubber band transformed into a star shape band in their hands! Martin Goh has been going around and amused audience in many other weddings and corporate events in Singapore.
